With an all-new fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, DOHC parallel twin powerplant with a 180-degree crankpin and counterbalancer, the 2013 Honda CBR500R is the sport bike for going fast in a more relaxed fashion.
Rather than pure go-fast clip-on, the bars are raised a bit above the triple clamps and pulled back, yet you still get the performance and comfort benefits of a full-sized fairing.
The cast aluminum wheels are 17-inchers, so premium rubber can be fitted, and the single-disc braking - front and rear - is aided by ABS. The ABS version is only available in red; if you want black or red/white/blue, you'll have to do without ABS, but you'll save $500.
